I just don’t apply. If the process to apply is that annoying, you probably don’t want to work for them.

If you maintain a professional CV it should be as simple as either cut and past or hitting print. If you career never requires a professional CV then would seem to be odd.

How long does it take to put all the fast food places youve worked at?

I've always suspected it was a test. The hiring managers know how redundant their applications are when paired with a stand alone resume. They want to see how patient and attentive to detail you are.
I believe we have some hiring managers here on the tOT.
Perhaps they would weigh in?

You clearly haven't done this recently. Import LinkedIn profile, upload CV, now let's have you input decades of experience in individual fields in Workday. And don't mention, you have nine Workday profiles that have been created in the last month, where you've uploaded/typed the same shite. Dates need to be fixed, experience re-ordered, yada yada.

Online job form for a mid major consultancy asked me for five highlights in the initial form. And yet, when the recruiter was scheduling the initial screen, she asked me for 3-5 bullet points about why I was qualified for the job.

It’s a great way to reduce the number of resumes I have to sort through. Plus it weeds out lazy people.

I think I clipped my last job application out of the news paper 22 years ago and showed up on site or called a number

Got hired and been there for 22 years. I just moved to Texas with the same company and had to fill out a rec like I was a new hire.

Then you don’t want the job bad enough. Entitled douche

ETA: as stated earlier. If you can’t take the time to detail out this part filling in gaps, then you don’t have the attention to detail I’d wanna hire.

Is it your company that you own, or do you just enjoy the little bit of power being a corporate gatekeeper gives you?

You're taking the whole online-form resume thing a bit too seriously.
