These folks with the emotional support animals gotta be the biggest useless complainers. Always wanting the ADA protection crap for them and their pet snake when it doesn't even apply. Anyone else got a story on these fools.

It's an epidemic that is slowly creeping into this country. The accommodation for narcissists with their yappy dogs on flights is bullshite. Glad I get to see your dog's a-hole 5 inches from my drink during this 3 hour flight.

Well those veterans suffering from PTSD really do need those animals.

You can go online and register your dog as an emotional support animal and no apt or rental can deny you housing be being pet free. So that's a little life hack for you if you have a dog

There's a difference between that and middle aged overweight woman with no friends who takes her Pomeranian everywhere she fricking goes.

That's cool, they can have the animal. Still not covered by ADA and is at the discretion of the business owner.

They all aren't seeing-eye-dogs.

I don't know if "emotional support animals" are the same as service dogs, but service animals are very important. We have friends who adopted a girl who has fetal alcohol syndrome and is prone to emotional breakdowns. The dog is there to help keep her calm. If she throws herself on the ground, the dog is actually trained to lie on top of her, which eventually settles her down.

If it's a poodle that keeps an older person not feel lonely, I don't know about that.

You'll have to rank upset for me. I am at a 1 out 10 on this, it's upsettingly silly at best semantically.

Here's a story for you. And before anyone bitches, I have three (count 'em 3) dogs so I love me some dogs.

Was getting on a plane for a business trip and had seen a lady pre-board with some mutt looking dog wearing a "Support Animal" vest. It was obvious she just wanted to get on first, there wasn't a damn thing wrong with her. When I passed the bulkhead the dog was right there on the floor loose. I guess I startled it because it barked and lunged at me to bite. I kicked that thing square in the mouth and kept going. She was yelling and flight attendants told her to STFU or get off the plane. That dog had Zero Reason to be loose in public much less on a plane.

They are different and the problem is that the system is being abused and taken advantage of by any Tom, Dick or Harry who wants to bring their mutt anywhere they please. Particularly on planes and into restaurants. I am all for service dogs but emotional support animals and service dogs are not the same thing.

Recently a plane had to make an emergency landing because someone's dog shite in the aisle.
LINK

ETA: The article says it's a service dog, but it is not (other articles about the incident have indicated it's an emotional support animal). The person wasn't blind or disabled. Just some bitch who thinks she can take her dog anywhere she wants.

The animal has to be registered under Psychiatric Service Animal which is black and white from Support Animal in the eyes of the Law.
