I'm glad to see a Peter Weyland type person doing this kind of stuff.
NASA sure as hell won't do it as long as a dem is in office.

And the wsy things are going, it'll be that way for another 8 years.

If he's the first to get there and he colonizes Mars, does he get to claim it?

I mean would it be his?

It's not like anyone else would have a claim over it

He could do whatever the hell he wanted up there and nobody could do anything about it

As far away physically as I can get from my mother in law.

I'm guessing that starting a new civilization would be a pretty fulfilling job.

Also, when things go south here on Earth, you would beat the rush to Mars.

Musk is a joke but just because the OP doesn't have his wealth or his UNASSAILABLE vision, his opinion doesn't matter!

Not that this interesting but who in the world would want to live on mars? I'd rather be dead.

Death is nothingness. Give me Mars any day.

Pretty sure the UN has already addressed this.

Seems like a lot of trouble just to bang your cousin. And you'd have to take her with you, so that would require a lot more resources. I think there's probably some place on earth where that's legal anyway, so your theory is pretty baseless.

I believe it was a SpaceX rocket that exploded to smithereens on the launch pad earlier this month.

Caused me to withdraw my application as lead astronaut for the Mars mission.

Self-made billionaire is a joke.

And if you want to align yourself with someone that actually believes Elon Musk smokes crack and is dumb enough to admit it on twitter, go right ahead.

Years ago, everyone thought a guy was crazy for dreaming up the interwebs. Before that, someone was crazy for putting a man on the moon.

You can keep belittling others, I prefer to dream.

Exactly. Ever since dude got on the rock his rockets have started blowing up and he's coming up with homo ideas about colonizing Mars.

I love random Joe's on a message board belittling one of the most influential thinkers in the world. The OT is a great place.

Surprised you don't want to go to Mars. It'll be easier for you to move your fatass around without having to take a break.

As long as the government keeps subsidizing his shite with billions of dollars, why wouldn't he keep aiming for bigger and bigger things.

Space travel research should receive a large portion of the US budget.
