this is what happened. entergy banged on the door at 2 am. did not expect them out until them morning. worked on it til 4 am with a temp fix. coming out next week to dig up the line and repair it.

Plug a lamp in somewhere and turn it on, don't turn if off but plug it into one of the powerless outlets furthest from the panel. If you have a screwdriver with a rubber grip use it to tap on the outlets you know are dead. If the lamp blinks while doing that then there's your problem. I bet they stabbed the wires into the devices.
