One of my elderly aunts (65+, no pics) is ticking off one of her bucket list items and going to the LSU vs A&M game. Some of her equally elderly friends that went to A&M bought the tickets and have also never been to an LSU game. I went to USM, so I’m no help.

When I go to an LSU game, I go with one of my brothers that went to LSU, but they’re both busy that weekend and can’t drive them (they usually park wherever it is younger Xers/ older Millennials tailgate, so they don’t know where to tell her to park, either).

Is there any place safe-ish for old people to park with a short-ish walk to the game? Thanks for any serious advice that won’t make my aunt the next person the OT detectives have to find.

Edit: changed the title from “Death Valley” to “LSU football game” since so many people took the title literally.

Going to assume they have a handicap tag? If they do they can park in the handicap lot and a bus with take them to the stadium and pick them up.

The lot mentioned is over by Alex Box. You can find it on the gameday parking map

Park at L’auberge Casino and take the CATS bus to the stadium.

She’s going to spread her own ashes in Tiger Stadium, isn’t she?

God, I hope not. She’s my badass former SWAT/ decorated sharpshooter deputy sherif aunt. Even though she’s slowed waaaay down, I still love the stories of the shite she’s seen and I hope she’s in my life a good while longer.

But if that’s her goal, beats the Haunted Mansion ride at Disney World.

Thank y’all! I passed this along. I’d be surprised if none of these old ladies have a handicapped tag.

Buy her a parking pass. Maybe check the ticket exchange.

If L’Auberge still does the buses, that would be the way to go. Park at L’Auberge, take the bus right to the stadium, take the bus back after the game.

Thank y’all for the L’Auberge suggestions; she’s an old lady from LC, and has been to their location more than once. Hopefully the name instills confidence in her despite my lack of knowledge on the subject.
