Egyptian passenger plane hijacked. Bomb suspected on board: eta- all ends well

Plane landed in Cyprus. No further details and no one is reporting who is responsible. Spoiler alert, it's jihadis (or maybe not

This is the type of terrorism that we grew up with. A guy would hijack a plane says he has a bomb and it's up to authorities to give into his demands or try to snipe him. It was definitely a kinder gentler form of terrorism

Hijacker identified as Ibrahim Samaha, Egyptian national. He's asking for a translator and political asylum.

Not necessarily a terrorist in the sense that he didn't hijack the plane to cause terror by just blowing it out of the sky. It's being reported he wants political asylum and he probably doesn't have explosives.

Why would you report this? I understand it may not be a terrorist situation but this lacks basic journalistic integrity.
If this information was relayed to the terrorist on board they will hunt down the Americans.
This is as stupid as reporting where people are hiding when a gunman is still on the loose.

I agree. They would be painting a big arse bullseye on them in a terror situation,especially in that part of the world. They reported it before he let passengers off the plane which makes it more fricked up.
