Do you know anyone that paid a lot of money for these? I bought 10 for a little more than $1.00 each a few months ago to share with my extended family in the path of totality. These are from a NASA approved supplier and seller.

Turns out my brother doesn't want any of his kids using them. We're going to a large county fair today and I'm thinking about selling them for $20 each. That's considerably less than what I've seen online in some places. Is there really this kind of a demand for them?

I didn't think you needed them in the totality path.

You need them if you want to watch the partial as it becomes total, and after

So you've seen what they're going for online but still wanted to come here and ask if there is demand for them?

I want to know if anyone is actually buying them at that price. I can find outrageous prices for many things online at places like eBay. Doesn't mean anyone is actually paying it.

you could be cool and just give them to some kids that wouldn't get to see it any other way.

Depends on who is looking for them and who is asking I guess. I'm not approaching some random kids at a fair and I doubt they will be walking around asking for them.

Not in my house there isn't No clue about your country and the kind of people who go to the country fair.

They cost a $1, just give the damn things away if you won't use them.

Who would downvote this statement? It's pretty much common sense.

Lowes had them for $3 a piece. They are darker than my welding lenses so I know I'm good.

You're going to get beat up at the county fair. Just put them on Craigslist if you need the money.

I'm concerned about my dog and various animals. They are all gonna go blind looking at the eclipse - gonna be a total disaster with all theses blind animals.

Can't wait to have these threads pop up again in 7 years. People will throw away their Eclipse glasses and then scramble again a week from the next one

animals are smart enough to avoid looking directly at bright lights.
It's the thinking animal that stares into harmful light.

Really? You're already gearing up for a thread 7 years from now? That sounds pretty exciting.

I don't even keep regular sunglasses 7 years. I doubt anyone still has their eclipse glasses from the last time it happened when they were kids.

When did you get them at Lowe's? Do you think they still have them?
