It's shame that area was going down before the flood. Only going to get worse from here. Really some cultra over there. Also some bad hombres. That stretch of rundown apts/condos from past Winn-Dixie to O'neal is a horrible sight. I'm sure a lot of those flooded houses are sitting empty or have been flipped and no telling what's in them.

That really sucks. Areas all around BR that used to be decent are going down hill

Those neighborhoods and apartments off of Old Hammond have been pretty rough for years now though.

I passed by there a few months ago, and just, Damn! Boarded up windows, tarps on the roof. I guarantee you the water left and they just swept the floor.

Went down Ponderosa a few weeks ago and that place is still a total disaster

I just talked to a girl I know that passed right after it happened. She said that she saw what she thinks is the victim in the middle of the road and wasn't sure if he was throwing up or what the deal was but she had her kids with her and couldn't stop so she called 911.

I lived across from the Mobil during my LSU years. I have really fond memories living there. Worked at Tony's Tavern, went to the Mobil everyday, was college party house and all. But it was never a great part of town. And now it's just unsafe. Not sure why dad rebuilt/remodeled after the flood. Ready for him to get the frick away from there

She said she couldn't tell because they were on all fours in the middle of the street.

I grew up on Locust Street and my house was on Firethorn and after the flood I sold it and got the hell out of there.

I know Amanda A and hung with Tony a few times. The man can play some music.
