Not yet. But I worked in mine yesterday afternoon. It was just too beautiful to not do so.

Yeah fired up the badboy for the first cut of the year.

Supposed to be spraying for weeds...but the day requires beers and relaxation.

That's what I did yesterday. Used almost 8 gallons of weed killer for St Augustine grass. I need about another 25-30 gallons.

I also planted a few dozen land mines around the property perimeter. Gotta' keep out those creepy, stalking SG supporters.....

It's a concentrate that takes 2-3 tablespoons/gallon of water. I use a pump-type sprayer that holds 2 gallons of H2O at a time. It's good. This time of year it won't hurt the St Aug grass. It takes about a week after spraying before you notice the weeds starting to die. From about May on through the summer, it has a tendency to turn the St Aug yellow for a while so I usually don't use it after about late April.

atrazine
Is that a liquid for spraying or a granule type fertilizer with weed killer mixed in it?

I ask because an arborist told me never use the fertilizer/weed killer granules in my yard because of all the trees I have.

He said the weed killer in the granules will eventually build up and reach the roots of the trees and will kill them.

He said the liquid weed killer herbicide will evaporate enough to not affect the trees.

You can get the atrazine in a granular form with a fertizer mixed with it. It will not kill your trees if you follow the label.

The liquid herbicide does not evaporate, it is absorbed by the soil. A granular herbicide disperses/melts as soon as water comes into contact with it where it is then absorbed by the soil.

If someone did something illegal, I hope they go to jail.

Well, of course, this is the only explanation.

I heard it had to do with wide spread cheating. I mentioned this at the time and you rolled your eyes at me. Maybe what I heard is right.
