Well over 100 for the year, and starting strong for 2024.

Multiple injured, 1 dead by gunfire on New Year’s Day

Updated. Two for two, baby!

Just won the natty after so many years and I think Southern also won the HBCU title

Nope, idiot. That only applies to the second half of 2003

This is the number that is incomprehensible.

3xs the # of homicides from violent crimes yet most overdoses are known poisoning by those selling (higher purity / selling fentanyl as coke, etc)

This is an attack on the USA and we do little about it compared to wars we fund against non-enemies.

I remember when drug houses next to units I owned and rented out have people overdosing almost weekly.

One person BRFD, one BRPD officer, and EMS were trying to ask the guy to hang on and let them help him. Sad part they could have possibly saved him. He refused help and died. I know the first responders have to be aggravated over seeing this over and over again.

Didn't she do the same bc 2022 was lower than 2021? Failing to mention 2021 was near record highs (or maybe they were records).

I thought I remember reading articles about that on here last year.

Maybe a lot of murders were classed as accidents or unknown.

She was quick to blame COVID on the increased number of murders in 2021 and made sure we knew that it was a nationwide problem with increases in every major city.

But when that large number decreases, it is because of her crime initiative. She won't mention that the homicide numbers decreased everywhere in the US.

you are not wrong. but that was the playbook. every democratic mayor of every major city in the US, pulled the same trick. Happened here in Houston with Mayor Sly Turner (aka the Backdoor Brotha) and Lina Hildalgo (Dora the Democrat Explorer)

Lets pretend this is true. Her statement, nor yours.

Jim cant go to work(lol) because of covid. He gets paid to stay at home for covid. He resorts to killing someone or a few people. All because of covid.

How ridiculous is that?
