Climate change is the golden goose of big government. Everything you do generally moves carbon around somehow or creates another greenhouse gas. If they can scare enough people, they can find that the government has a compelling interest in saving the world and essentially deprive you of any right you presently enjoy.

How were they measuring the average temperature over the entire earth prior to the industrial revolution? For that matter, how are they accurately measuring that today?
