I don't find it funny when people do this now. However, reminiscing on my immature jackass drunk self at age 17 doing this on an $8 bill at Waffle House makes me chuckle a little bit.

I've walked out on a bar tab once by accident. They had seen me there before so never took my card upfront. Honestly, didn't mean too and didn't have a huge tab or anything. Bar tender asked me about it a couple weeks later when I went in there. I was apologetic, but he told me not to worry about it (was only a couple beers), but still acted like he had an attidude. Left a $100 tip so don't feel bad about it anymore.

the other night I was eating sushi and a young good looking girl skipped out on her bar tab. I was sitting across from her and she was like a ninja when she just vanished. I felt bad for the young kid working so I left him a tip big enough to offset the 3 red bull and vodkas this trashy chick skipped on.

I was a busboy at Outback in BR in 94. This chick came in who I recognized as she had dated a buddy of mine. We chat it up briefly but she's on a date and dude seems skittish and unwilling to talk to me. Anyhoo. They fricking dash on the check; apparently it was her idea as witness saw it happen.
The next week she was in the news getting arrested. She was one of Sylvia Landry's whores. NO WONDER THE DUDE SHE WAS WITH WAS NERVOUS.

I never had a dine and dash. One time I did have a really nice couple leave a visa gift card and just walk away. The card only had 4 bucks on it and their meal was 30 something. That sucked
