I'm sure it does...just keeping it simple for those who aren't as familiar.

So you get drunk and make a few inappropriate gestures and say a few inappropriate things. That means they land the plane because of you?

I could see if he was fighting and throwing things but just that?

If I was a passenger and we did an in scheduled stop because of that little bit of BS from that guy, I would be pissed.

OMG!!!!!! He stuck his tongue out at me Booo Hoooo Hooo emergency landing now!

Last transatlantic flight I made, I was completely obliterated.

2mg of Xanax, half carafe of vino, some crap pretzels, and it was done. Hello Munchen.

In the article it said the passenger next to him complained he was punched a few times.

Ultimately the Captain's discretion.

Heck, just yesterday we had a pax "become ill" during taxi. Communication between FA's and Captain took place during the entire taxi until we were at the end of the runway to takeoff where the Captain ultimately decided to leave the runway and begin heading back to the gate.

Magically, the pax became better. Apparently it was an anxious traveler who was separated from their group with the seat assignments. FA's moved a few people around and we were back in line in a few minutes.

We can grandfather that cleanup/environmental damage into the BP deal.

I read he poked the passenger and not punched. If I read wrong, my bad. I thought he was just being a silly drunk and they freaked for nothing

seems like a flight attendant or fellow passenger could have just whipped the guy's arse until he calmed down.

nah, it's not, under normal operation you've got a bunch of huge pumps pumping away in the same compartment anyway
