This discussion started on the very first page regarding whether or not it's justifiable to ever hit a woman. You're having a really difficult time following along. This is not a legal debate. Stop resorting to logical fallacies (strawman arguments).

You're confusing the issue. No one has suggested the woman was correct, nor did we argue if the man's actions were justifiable from a legal standpoint. I look at it similar to how I would an officer using deadly force - just because you can doesn't mean you should. In the situation in the OP, there is really no excuse for the guys actions. No decent man would do that.

I guess, but perhaps I'm just misunderstanding your point. You've already said you'd never hit a woman, so surely you have some reason to have that belief. I think that's the difference. A good man can probably avoid the situation altogether, and if it can't be avoided, the situation in the OP doesn't cross the threshold where punches from the man are required.

She does hit him in the face several times and he at first tries to wrap her up to stop her, but whatever she said to set him off he hit the frick out of her 4-5 times and yanks her off the ground and drags/ shoves her into the car

ETA: I would have never allowed her to continue hitting me like that. One time out of anger for me being a drunk arse, sure, I could forgive that , but after the continual hits I would have wrapped her up in a bear hug until she calmed down or tried to walk away. If she followed me and continued to hit me, I'd call the cops, file charges on her, and gladly take my public intox. It's very doubtful I would ever hit a girl unless she was an actual threat to my life.
