A 600 billion dollar budget and these fricking whirlybirds don't have drone lasers?

Are they going to give me $599 to reimburse the destruction of my property? Need to watch where they are going next time.

I know a few guys at my old job that got licensed to fly drones for survey purposes, and there is a ceiling as far as how high you can fly them, especially here being close to 2 air force bases. Honestly couldn't remember what it is.

And this is why we can't have nice things.

You can hear a helicopter coming so why not just be more aware? The sky is big so is a Blackhawk. I am not a drone guy but I don't see how this happens.

The ceiling is 500 ft. For drones.

Edit: you right, 500ft was proposed a few years ago, but it ended up being 400

Ceiling is 400ft for hobbyist, not sure the laws on a commercially licensed pilot, tigerpawl or what ever his name is would likely know.

Can't even imagine what it cost to replace a main rotor blade on an Apache.

Was this an accident or a possible terrorist run? Serious question.

How long before ISIS tries this out? Are they strong enough to lift a small IED?

400ft, anything over that you have to file a flight plan with local air control.

Blackhawks put out so much turbulence around them, I'm surprised the drone got close enough to fly into it..

400ft is ceiling for anything. Commercial or hobbyist. Above that you have to file a flight plan with relevant air traffic control. Which dont get approved unless you are licensed.
