Looking for a good place to eat on the way. Obviously it looking for chain type stuff as I can get that anywhere. I also am not in a rush so I can take 55 to Jackson or hwy 1. Doesn't matter.

Ever been to the Dinner Bell in McComb? They are only open for a few hours for lunch I believe.

Go by way of I-10 to BR then 61 North to Natchez. Catch Roux 61 south of Natchez.

Or go on into town for the Pig Out Inn or Fat Mamas Mexican. The POI is better but FM has a good atmosphere.

Personally, I mush on through to Big John Burgers in Ferriday.

Pig Out Inn is absolutely the worst food in Natchez. The Burger King has better quality food.
Roux 61 and Fat Mama's are both pretty good though.

Dinner Bell in McComb. Ignore those who are telling you to go through Baton Rouge. Take 55 and you have more options...including Middendorf's and some great places in between.

If you take the BR route, you might as well eat here or maybe in Natchez, try the Carriage House. Otherwise, you'll see plenty of Sonics, pizza places, and the usual crap. I think between St. Francisville to Rayville, there might be 12 Sonics.

Big Johns burgers in Winnsboro if you go that way. Best bacon cheeseburger.

If they're going through Winnsboro you have to give Johnny's Pizza a shout-out. It's a law in North La (or at least a statute).

Roux 61 just before Natchez is a solid win as well.
