I don't understand getting pissy at others at the gym. Only way to bother me is if it's too crowded, but that's why I work out off base and avoid the rush.

Once I throw on the headphones, I'm in my own little world and don't give a damn what anyone else is doing/looking at. If someone's on a machine I want, I either wait or move to a different one in the meantime.

Oh MSgt, you are doing it all wrong...

Another note my Squadron CC, just told me they were putting in a package for a STEP promotion for me to TSgt. I'm at 7 years, tested twice, and this is where my TIG TIS gave me a chance without having to score 75/75. Thought it was damn cool though considering what they normally use it for

I guess I just dgaf. Always something else I can do. I hit the gym hard/fast and usually folks just move out of the big black guy's way, anyways, tbh

Nice!

My career's going the opposite direction Might get med boarded depending on what the doc says about my ankle I had surgery on awhile back.

Well hope you are doing alright with it. My wife is really wanting to get out, been hard on us since moving up here, she's always gone from our 11 month old and I have to have him at daycare for 11 hours the days she's not here. Taking a toll

It'd be a blessing in disguise, tbh. Wasn't planning on staying in past my DOS in a couple years anyways

And wifey wants to get out worse than I do Might knock her up when she redeploys.

Only half kidding

My initial 4 years is done in december but i had to extend to come here.

Back on gym topic. My base gym is small as frick. As for douchy gym things. Gyms that don't allow chalk are fricking douchy.

Yup, ACC command here, brand new state of the art facility, Indoor pool, 2 basketball courts, indoor track, tiny weight area, 1 squat rack, 2 of each type of bench. Makes you wonder who designs this shite

Nothing tops the worst designed gym in the airforce on Ramstein.

Just got back from ALS at Lakenheath and the weight room is absurdly small for such a large base.

people paying attention to others workout and seeing/judging what weight someone is lifting like its a competition, but make fun of crossfitters for "competing" in working out.

Talking on a Bluetooth earpiece while working out, yet looking at people weird when they think he is talking to them.

Never understood this either. Most gyms have working water fountains.

Guilty Gallon guy here.
My reason is because with certain supplements and diet regimens, you have to drink at least a gallon of water a day to flush your kidneys. Failure to do so using serious supplements can cause kidney damage and/or failure. Just makes it easier because you know how much you drink in the day.

Actually had this happen to me. Dude spent half an hour conversing on his bluetooth while working out.
Are conversations that fricking important that it can't wait?

Of all the annoying things that people do in gyms, getting asked for a spot is what pisses you off the most. Well frick you. How about that? What if someone is a few months removed from shoulder surgery and is just getting back into it?

No kidding. I was just able to get back into the gym in August after having some back issues, and like two weeks in I start doing an exercise I realize I'm not going to be able to make it through. I ask someone for a little help to rerack so I don't injure myself again. He helps me, but when he asks what was wrong and I tell him, he goes "well you shouldn't fricking be here working out" and turns around and walks away.

Those people I hate.

Why not just use a regular water bottle and know how many times you need to fill it? This way you get fresh water throughout the day.
