One of the funniest things to see in Moscow is how all kinds of people do "cabbing" just for some extra cash. If someone was one the side of the road with their hand up, more times than not, just some regular vehicle would pull up, and they would hop in.

Worst case scenario let's say it is much more expensive than a cab...

In the end it will still take some of the burden off the cab industry and allow the cabs to accommodate the rest without as much of a long ridiculous wait.. in theory anyway.

That goes against everything I have heard about uber.

After one of the beer fests I went to in Atlanta, I looked at Uber and saw that the price to my house from the fest was more expensive than a cab.

That happens sometimes over distance and with surge pricing.

You're doing it wrong. I'm in ATL and on 7/4 I saw some fireworks at a park 5 miles from my place. Due to the time of day/demand, there was surge pricing in effect, meaning that the rate was 2X as much as it would normally be. Even with all that said, it was $20 total. I had a passenger with me so obviously I only paid $10 for myself.

You must have ordered the biggest luxury vehicle they have, and done it at the most peak time of day where it's 3X the cost, and even then it'd still be hard to get to $60.

You suck.
