I wish Iberville, St James, or Assumption Parish would annex Donaldsonville. Ascension Parish would be so much better if the parish line were the Mississippi River.

Do these people proofread before publishing?

quote:

State Health Officer Jimmy Guidry, MD says he can't be confirm if the results of the test were accurate since the test was conducted by Peoples Water System, but says they're issuing the warning out of "an abundance of caution".

Annex the parish seat? That would certainly go over well.

Plus, there's a lot of slavery and Civil War history in Donaldsonville. It adds to the parish culcha.

Many government offices in the parish have branches in Donaldsonville and Gonzales. I think Gonzales could handle it just fine.

Hell, Donaldsonville was once the state capital (1829–1831) and we took that from them. What's so hard about taking a parish seat?

water crisis

This is a monthly event in Nola.

quote:

Mayor Leroy Sullivan issued the declaration due to elevated chlorine levels in the water.

I would imagine they would have to be extremely high to qualify for a crisis.
