I see all the love for dogs on here constantly. I have always been a cat person (female, go figure). I have now owned a Hound/Boxer/Pitt/Mutt for two years. I adore this dog, but holy shite, dogs are needy. Got to get home to walk him, he loves to put his face on my laptop. He is constantly in my face, wanting to lick, or be taken out. Cats don't give a shite, they come around occasionally. How is that not better? My cat is affectionate but not an imbecile, like the dog. He is high maintenance, like a chick. The cat, like a guy, easy as Sunday Morning.

Cat's suck so bad there's no point in having one. They only come around and act "affectionate" when they need something.

On the other hand a dog is loyal and just happy to see you.

You are so wrong. My cats come when called, but stay away when not wanted. The fkn dog is up in my face non stop. Maybe you need that kind of reassurance, but I don't.

Agree. I do have 1 cat that is up my arse all the time when I am home though. Not needy but just follows me around wherever I go. My other cat just does her thing and comes and sits by me when I sit on the couch.

Dogs are generally imbeciles and too predictable imo. Cats have better personalities. Dogs are also dirty as shite and gross.

Dogs are also big wimps

Cats>dogs

My dog is awesome. Every cat I have ever seen is fricking stupid.

My dog is nowhere near as needy as the one you describe.
He's quite content with just laying on the floor licking his balls.

He also listens better than the humans I live with (wife and 2 sons).

and if one of the people does something stupid, he'll even make eye contact with me and almost shrug.

That's complete bullshite. People that say this have never had a cat or if they did they were an a-hole to it.

They're loyal to the point of being stupid.

Cats demand respect, which imo is more respectable

Seen? Own one. They are amazing. Dogs stink, have to go out, when we leave town, gotta worry about the dog (cat is fine), up in your shite, etc. Dogs are way more high maintenance.

Cats are basically a pest killing device.

If you have a stupid dog, you should really look at the owner. Dogs are amazing animals when properly trained. Humans played an integral part in these animals becoming true companion animals.

Can put down plenty of food and a couple of litter boxes and leave the cat for a couple days.

Leave a dog for a few hours and you have dog shite in the floor and the house chewed up.

Besides, my 13 pound mean-arse, aggressive cat can hurt your dog before the dog even knows he is there.

My dog is on the couch with my youngest son. A 14 year old cat is next to me on the loveseat. Cat likes to sit next to people most of the time. Dog is a shadow to anyone he chooses on any day. Another cat is never seen unless the food bowl is empty.
