You can be guaranteed an spot in pilot school in the navy, but not the aircraft or the fact you might be an EWO or "backseater weapons guy" on 18's.

I don't think vision matters much anymore.
You need to figure out which branch of service you want to go into first. How old are you? I can answer some of your questions about the USMC. I once upon a time had a flight contract with them. Didn't work out for me though.
