i had this surgery, it sucks and leaves permanent scars.
tell your dog to stop dipping

I wasn't being serious. They dog means more to me than a few thousand, he's part of the family and my fiancé and I would be devastated if we had to put him down. If he was older we would consider what would be best for him in the long run but he's still very much a puppy.

People part with things they "like" all the time. Do you not think people who put their dogs down love them.

Have you brought the dog to get a 2nd opinion? If there's no sign of infection then you have a serious problem and the dog probably needs surgery. I don't how far you are away from lake Charles but dr Woodward at university animal clinic is a great vet. I'm not saying he will save your dog but he will do what's right and at a reasonable cost.
