I have a job where I can check the wrong box on a computer screen and if I do, all hell breaks loose. Well not all literally but I can get in serious trouble and have gotten in serious trouble.

I wouldn't call a customer getting tots instead of fries as all hell breaking loose.

If I fax the 1st page instead of the second 2 in the stack, it could cost us $50,000 or more. I send this fax about 8 times a day.

Just pour the diet coke out and hit the Sprite one. No big deal.

If I punch in the wrong thing I could order a $75,000+ engine instead of a $7 gasket.

I'm sales for a specialty industrial contractor. My sick-to-your-stomach, "oh mother of frick" moments only happen AFTER we are locked into a contract and a problem is found.

I've only had one of those moments, and I was later able to find out a decent solution for all parties involved. It was not fun for about a day and a half, though.

My previous job was pretty dangerous and every day was an oh shite moment.

Current job, not so much. All I can do is mess up pretty significant amounts of money and time rather than people's lives.

I had something similar years ago when I gave a customer an undercarriage estimate on a D10N and accidentally only quoted rollers for one side. We got everything worked out but it was not fun for a little while.

For those wondering, this is a D10N...
