I always wondered this. Does church do marriages for previously divoriced as well? If so, makes me feel the church cares more about money than internal morals

A big supporter of North Monroe Baptist that I use to work with told me that the pastor would prefer that everyone he marries be virgins and that it is best to tell him that you never been with each other during the pre-wedding meetings.

I was dumbfounded. He was dead serious and trying to get me to attend one Sunday.

On a side note, maybe someone who has been married twice could chime in....Why would anyone want a big production wedding the second time???? Seems a little weird. I'd think the norm would be more of a private, destination type wedding.

What if it's the other spouse's first wedding?

How many women have kids that you know that have no prayer of getting child support from their baby daddy, much less getting married?

What church doesn't. Sure, if your catholic you have get an annulment but with the right amount of money and/or influence, easy enough.

Ultimately, though, even if you were to deny some, wouldn't you need more info, like when they became Christians/church members?

Or maybe they care about reaching out to all people with the kindness, mercy, and love of Christ rather than being fake self-righteous pieces of shite who look down their noses at people who aren't as fake pious as themselves?

But the church loves being fake. You think the youth group follows the guidelines the church provides? Most younger people see church as a social group more than a religious group. I've seen people rotate partners around when I tried to join a church
