does your boss tell you when he is out

For those of you who use "shared calendars" at work and are told to document every time you will be out, does your boss also document his time away from the office?
Or are only certain employees held to this requirement?
Example 1: Employee leaves an hour early to go home sick. It is immediately added to calendar by boss.
Example 2: Boss leaves couple of hours early for vacation. It is nowhere to be found on the calendar.
Thought it was a coincidence but it keeps happening. And less than 5 minutes after turning in a request for time off, everyone else has the details of their time off added to the calendar (doctor appointment, vacation, jury duty, dentist appointment, etc.,)

Unfortunately, yes. It's almost to the point where he tells everyone when he goes to take a piss.

Everyone on the OT is a boss, so you'll get no answers from the employee side here.

Don't you have to allow your calendar to be public (i.e. Microsoft Outlook)? I can look at anyone's calendar but if it's not public, I just see that they're busy at that time.

I usually dont know where my boss is. But he is really good at always asking me where I am even after I tell him/if its on my skype status.

Um, he's the boss: He can do whatever the hell he wants.

This is a shared calendar that the boss set up for entire office. Boss adds everyone's details to it, so everyone can see it.

Sounds like the level of detail is too much. Personal stuff like doctor's appointment are need to know basis. It should just be, when you'll be out of the office for an extended time. No more information needed.

What's your point?

Look man, I told you what I do outside of Arby's is none of your business. Now go mop the bathroom floors and quit complaining. You'll never make assistant manager like me with that attitude

The owner of my company can take 52 weeks a year off, as long as he is still signing my paycheck, doesn't bother me.
