The documentary "Blackfish" has caused huge PR damage for them.

Most companies don't, but still do.
Why the frick does Tylenol need a commercial?

Considering they've lost around 25.4 million after that Blackfish documentary, they're probably thinking a little damage control wouldn't hurt.
The funny thing is that the company that was the financier for Blackfish is a Sea World competitor called Sea Life. They are a direct competitor and Americans are too fricking stupid to realize it was an agitative propaganda film made for the sole purpose of competitive sabotage.

Damn, No shite... Another piece to the puzzle.. I never liked CNN, but that's an all out scum bag move if you ask me...

but it's not much of a reach to imagine that keeping wild animals in captivity can result in some negative consequences

Well, that was pretty stupid of them as it cast the whole industry in a negative light.

CNN's "Blackfish" documentary
"Blackfish" is an independently made film that whose distribution rights were purchased by CNN after it was made and shown at Sundance. It's a PETA influenced hit job on SeaWorld, but it's pretty much intended to be an attack on all similar businesses. It's also a very well made documentary despite its significantly less-than-objective message.

I just want to know when Sea World will introduce the mosasaur show.

That's not very tolerant of you.

I'd still go to Sea World just to ride the Manta and Kraken coasters all day. Manta is bad arse.

Was my favorite ride too and would have rode it all day if a damn storm had not blown through.

Is it as good as they argue? No. Is it as bad as Blackfish made it look? No. It's probably in between.

I watched it on Netflix

Have you seen their stock lately?

Thought the whole point was showing how depressing their captivity is. Funny way for Sea Life to get more business

Sea World is great, they have a few good rides, and those whales seem happy as shite. Throwing humans in the air, splashing all about, those are things they couldn't do unless they were in captivity. I personally don't care about a few bent fins. Entertain me whales!!!

They're just trying to counteract the bad publicity from CNN's "Blackfish" documentary. They know that most TV watchers will believe most anything they see on TV.

So Sea Life is making itself look like shite too? Makes sense.

That doesn't make any sense given the documentary's message
Also, link?
