LaPlace ports are what they are because of NOLA.

Industry south of NOLA could give a frick less about the city.

When Katrina hit most industry outside of New Orleans didn't skip a beat. Some stuff was harder to get, but it is replaceable.

What really sucks is that Baton Rouge is built where they wanted NOLA to be built. The powers that be knew that BR's location was a better spot, but the peon's fricked it up.

Is magazine street next to the street with all the rainbow flag flying?

Yes, that is Carrollton. Plan your next visit there. Carrollton and Tulane. Get the shite cultured out of you.

No, MILES AND MILES of river say no.

The obvious answer is closer proximity to the Gulf.

A better bet would be through Lake Bourne with a shipping channel through Chalmette/Violet to NOLA

NOLA was built on the wrong spot.

My stomach gets too upset when I approach that area.
Sorry, maybe you could just get cultured enough for us both.
You can have my part.

No, it is what is because of its location and those who built it. History and such.

A 4 mile strip of great restaurants high end retail shopping and all around cosmopolitan atmosphere.

Magazine Street, in New Orleans?

We must be going to a different place. Or have different definitions of "great," "high end," and "cosmopolitan."

If I'm not mistaken the powers that be may be looking at Tchoups as an overflow boutique/diner area.

Ocean Drive, Miami, Fla.
Michigan Ave, Chicago.
Worth Avenue, Palm Beach
Canyon Road, Santa Fe, NM

These are a few places where I have residences that I feel are superior in culture that the presently suggested corridor.

Have to lump Collins with it, not legit.

Don't know the rest, but that was number one on your list.
