My dad always rinsed his ice. He said he didn’t like the frost on the ice getting in his drinks

Rumor is that Roberto Goizueta used to make sure the ice was rinsed before he would serve people Coke when he was CEO

I do this when I pour soda. I didn’t realize it was a real thing I just always thought it seemed to maintain the carbonation more than pouring soda over ice right out of the freezer.
