And does it depend on the kind of shirt? I'm having a debate here at the office and I think age difference is the main dividing line.

To me, I don't think a shirt should ever be tucked into blue jeans - it just looks wrong. Be it a polo, tshirt, dress shirt, etc. doesn't matter, if wearing with jeans imo it shouldn't be tucked in.

Do you think the fit of the jeans or shoes worn with it changes this?

So that's one tuck, and one no tuck.

the only time you tuck shirts into jeans is once you have reached fatherhood

you are then allowed to wear cargo shorts with crew socks, visors, and new balance tennis shoes

Wearing jeans today also, with my gamecock polo (yeah, we suck). I'm tucked in....if i wore the same thing to the game tomorrow, untucked.

One vote for each.

Blue jeans pants, always tuck.

Blue jeans shorts are more casual and should never be tucked into unless it's a business setting.

I never tuck in anything because it distorts my nice arse.

Currently have blue jeans with a polo tucked in at the office.

It's called looking professional on a casual day.

I only tuck t-shirts into jeans. Also, don't wear a belt.

You're welcome...

Definitely dependent on type of shirt and type of shoes worn.

Jeans with boots and button-down can go either way, typically looks better tucked.
Jeans with plain t-shirt and tennis shoes, no way.

I have a polo button up tucked into some nice Levi's 514 jeans as we speak. Why? Because it's casually friday at my office, but shifts still have to be tucked
