I'm talking about the overweight dude doing bicep curls while chugging Gatorade or the skinny dude lifting everyday but not gaining anything cause he won't eat. My gym seems to be full of these types.

Unless it's a safety issue or they ask, no. To each his own.

I don't notice what other guys are doing at the gym unless they're on a machine I want to use.

I was critiqued by a fellow cyclist so why not? Either you listen or you don't.

How do you know said dude isn't eating? Also at least said overweight dude is in there doing something. Many people in the gym are probably not maximizing their time in there perfectly, but the big guy in there doing bicep curls is doing more for himself than if the same guy was sitting on the couch eating pizza.
Basically, like the one guy said, unless it is a safety issue where they could seriously harm them self or others, just focus on your own workout dog.

Nope.

I used to work at a gym and I learned quickly that the majority of people don't want to be told what to do, even if they're risking injury and/or not seeing results.

You would be a douche bag if you told the fat guy to stop drinking Gatorade or the skinny guy to eat more.

If someone looks Iike they're about to hurt themself then that's a different story

Isn't a lost cause uncorrectable by definition?

I usually don't say anything to most people unless they're kids and I know they're fricking up. The ones who do the curls as fast as possible or their grip on a bench is all messed up.

I wanted to correct a kid doing some front raises on the cable. Was going to say that's really bad for the shoulders but didn't.

Ever heard of the term "hard gainer"? Some skinny guys eat a lot, drink weight gain shakes, work out and still struggle to gain weight. All about metabolism speed.
