I do. All the research, the obvious link to cancer and many other debilitating diseases, the awful smell, the yellow teeth. How can anyone with a brain continue to put them into their lungs? I absolutely don't understand purposely hurting your health.

I smoke and its VERY hard to quit.. I have tried.. I have willpower but just not enough..... The stress from my job doesn't help plus the fact I can go outside and have one anytime I want...

An addict will rationalize the need and continue to do it at all cost.

Oblivious? No. I'm just a stronger person than someone addicted to a chemical.

I don't really need to "question" their intelligence. I know they're stupid.

Keep talking like that and you're gonna lose one of your only friends on this board.

Definitely. I'm sure it's hard to quit, but they had to be dumb enough to start doing it in the first place

But you're still too stupid to realize that addiction can effect smart people.

I also take it you live a completely 100% healthy lifestyle.

That's good, because it'll serve you well to have a healthy body considering your low level of intelligence.

all wasn't capitalized to accentuate the vastness and seriousness of the degree to which an addict will go to satiate an addiction.

Yes, you have

Maybe you don't remember it, or maybe it was someone you would prefer to think was unintelligent, but you have met intelligent people that smoke.

ETA: or maybe it was someone who smoked, but you didn't know that they did

Do you eat fried food? Use plastic? Spray aerosol cans? Use gas or oil in any way? Eat processed food?

Because there's tons of research about how terrible those things are.

Are you saying there is no chemical in your life that you are addicted to?

Have you tried the e-cigarettes? I smoked for 13 years...I bought the little re-chargeable pack and started using that...haven't had so much as a craving for 3 weeks. It hasn't even been moderately difficult. The nicotine isn't necessarily great for you, but I've weened down quite a bit...and it's not as bad as smoke.
