I personally like to play from the next level of tee's before the tips. I find it more enjoyable but notice some people no matter how bad they are at golf feel like they need to play from the hardest tee's.

This sounds like a secret code for gay stuff at a truck stop.

Depends on the course... Shorter, public courses I usually play from the tips. UClub, however, I will not play from the tips.

Also, if someone I'm playing with suggests shorter tees, then I never have a problem with that.

Pisses me off when these hacks shooting 100+ go out and play from the tips. Don't be that guy.

I always play the tips. However, next time I play one of those RTJ courses during the winter I will most certainly not play the tips.

Believe the rule of thumb is that you should only play from the tips if you have a single digit handicap. Not near enough people follow this rule.

I generally play from the regular men's tees. If I'm playing with my dad I've got no issue playing from the senior tees. Always a bit of an ego boost when every par 5 is reachable in 2.

100+ is your benchmark? What, do you shoot a 95 from the tips and need to complain about someone marginally worse than you?

Really, it should be 85+ plays from the lower tees.

Im a single digit handicap and I don't play from the back tee's, unless I am by myself.

People need to learn to speed up the game!

I'm not a good golfer at all but for some reason I enjoy playing from the tips.

I'm single digits and will only play from the tips if that gets me over my yards/18 requirements, otherwise I always play from the "blues" or "advanced" tees.

I'm not going to play something like 6500 from the blues on a par 72 with an easy slope...In that case I would step back
