Do you know anyone who bought/built, a Tiny House?

Aren't those things like $50k to build? You could get an old camper or mobile home for much cheaper. Nothing against them just seems pricey from what I've seen.

One of my good friends was attempting to build a tiny home last year. He bought the trailer and started welding some of the frame work on it. He was told he should get the axles checked out and so he did. My buddy was told that both axles were bad and that it was a miracle the trailer could still be usable. So, my buddy had to end that dream and now he has bought a bus that he is gutting and turning into a RVish.

I have watched many of the TV shows, youtube videos, etc. on tiny homes with him. It does seem to appeal more to people on the coasts or those with lots of land. That lifestyle is not for me. I kept asking where he would have all of his guests and his response was "it's a tiny home, I don't want to have guests".

I would certainly not but him in the SJW, hipster, or Hippie category. This may not help his case but another one of his dreams or goals is to walk across America. It takes a whole year to complete.

Not directly, but a co-worker who is Joe handyman did. For the not-Joe's like me, they are not cheap as the promotions make them sound. Unless you are content with raw compressed particleboard floors, walls, ceilings. And outdoor crude plumbing.

Some of the already built homes, have no Kitchen, or everything is in 1 room.

Seriously, it would drive me nuts, i need some space.

I would live in a vintage Airstream before a shity tiny house.

For 90% plus it's a fad. Attracts the people who are always searching for something. If you have to climb a ladder into your bedroom which has 24" of head clearance lying down, you're doing it wrong. You know who spreads sawdust over their shite? Cats.

I know a dude who is building one in his parents driveway right now and is gonna place it somewhere in DC when it's finished. Unrelated but when we used to babysit him he would shite his pants then pull the meaty chud out of his drawers and place it under our couch.

I would totally stay in one for a vacation(especially Mendocino.....it's gorgeous there). But live in one full time....,hell no.

have a mini house on water. We call it the camp. I would rather live there than my house.
