This also begs the question, do urologists smell every urine sample that they come across? Do they use their other senses to do quick exploratory tests?

I love asparagus piss smell.

For a long time I’d associate it with going out to a nice steakhouse, high end restaurant which usually meant there would be sex to follow.

Then we started making it at home more and it lost its luster.

Just a couple of weeks ago my wife told me that pico de gallo tasted like soap to her because of the cilantro and I thought “this woman makes up the weirdest shite.” I had no idea this was a thing.

I like cilantro. Maybe it does have a slight soapy taste if I think about it. But nothing that ruins the flavor.

My asparagus piss smells as noxious as sarin gas. Doesn't prevent me from enjoying it though.

I always wondered if people who couldn't smell asparagus pee also were unable to smell farts.

Wife can’t eat cilantro due to the soapy taste. I love it.

I guess I'm the weird one here, because I don't smell anything different when taking a piss after eating asparagus.

I also love cilantro.

I love cilantro and don’t have the gene to taste the soap flavor, thank god.

My pee does smell after eating asparagus but only for one good pee. I don’t notice it for an entire day. I could eat asparagus raw all day. Love it.

Cilantro tastes soapy to me, and I like asparagus but have never noticed it giving my urine an odor

I've never noticed either of these things or heard about them from anyone in real life, just on the internet.

When my tastes are off because of allergies or the covid, Cilantro might taste hotter to me without other flavor, but I've never noticed soapiness.

And I've never paid enough attention to my piss to notice if asparagus does anything to it.

Both I think, definitely the cilantro one. I can do a little but it totally tastes like soap.

Never smelled a urine odor with asparagus either.

I love asparagus and cilantro. I also like pickles fyi.

I have been known to drink all the pickle juice, then have family members complain of dry pickles in the jar.

Same. Cilantro is awesome.
