I have done it twice while on a work trip. Saw 21 Jump Street and Hunger games by myself.

I have done it a number of times, although it has been a while. In 2009 I caught District 9, and Inglorious Basterds as a "double feature" in Covington on a bored Friday night. Had a blast.

I don't even remember the last time I went to the movies.

Yep I have Friday afternoons off so I'll hit one up occasionally. Watched baby driver by myself last Friday. As others have stated the matinees are cheaper and usually pretty empty.

They had evidence that statistically, people who go to movies alone have more issues. They presented that to the city and they bought it. Its annoying cuz now it takes 20$ to watch a movie

I just thought of this thread, and now I'm pissed on how dumb it really is. Do they really think paying 10 extra dollars to see a movie is going to stop a mass shooter? This what they think mass murderers think to themselves:

"You know, I would kill 30 people in a theater if it only cost me $10, but $20, no thank you, what a rip off."

Yep. Usually do it while traveling for work. Better than sitting in some hotel all night.

But not better than going to the bar

21 Jump Street was hilarious and it was the first hunger games so I had to see what all the commotion was about.

I go to the movies alone from time to time. I tell my family that I want to go to the movies. If no one wants to come with me, I go anyway. I do this to remind them that I will do things with or without them.

But aside from that, I enjoy going to the movies by myself. It gives me some time away that doesn't last too long, and I relax and enjoy some entertainment.
