I go to lunch at the strip club buffet close to where I work everyday by myself. Is that weird?

Mostly grab subway every day during the week unless I'm meeting a friend for lunch. occasionally i'll go hit one of the local mom and pop restaurants for lunch alone.

I've eaten by myself at restaurants for lunch and dinner on several occasions. Usually read a book or play on my phone. No big deal.

Yes.

Anywhere I want. I do it for dinner. And, GASP, drinks too!

Although if I lived around the corner from work, which I am considering doing, I'd always go home. I'd eat really quickly and then snuggle in bed and then use my own clean bathroom before heading back in.

It just seems weird to go to a restaurant by myself.

Why?

I eat at places all over the world by myself, it's awesome, too much to see and do to stay holed up inside

I do every once in a while when I'm at work, but I have some rules:

1. It has to be casual. I'll do it at some small po'boy shop or deli, but not at a nice restaurant. If there's no Hostess, it is most likely ok.
2. If there is a hostess, I'll sit at the bar.
3. It's just that f&%king good.

Some favorites for this include:
Port Allen:
Bergeron's
River Queen Drive-Inn
The Jambalaya Spot

Southeast:
Dempsey's (old Coursey location)
Jazz Daddy's
La Tiendita

Mid-City
Anthony's
Capital City Crawfish
The Jambalaya Shoppe
Omi

New Orleans
Parkway
Liuzza's
Bud's Broiler

If I'm out of town on business, I usually do. Go sit at the bar and chat it up with some locals or others that are in town.

It's not. Bring a book or your phone to read or watch a show on. Nothing weird about it all. It's how I eat lunch quite often. 30 minutes out of the office to clear my head, get away from the office bullshite, including the people, and then get back at it. And I'm not alone in doing that.

Yeah, my lunch break is very valuable to me. And I just jumped from 30 minutes to an hour since I work for a new company.

I haven't known what to do with myself with all this time. Today I had a leisurely lunch alone, went grocery shopping for dinner tonight, and was back at work 18 minutes before my hour was up.

I travel a good bit for work and more often than not I'm in an area where I don't know anyone to have lunch with. I've become accustomed to it. I can eat what I want, when and where I want to eat it. Works out well for me.

Korea House in Metairie.

I love Korean but everyone else here at work hates it, so I've been lunching solo over there. No problems and very spicy. Give me a little Hyuna or CL with a side of kimchi. I'd much rather dine in. I hate bringing back a styrofoam container of food back to the office and eating at my desk like an animal. F that, I am going to dine in style like a gentleman at the restaurant even if it is solo.

Hooters or Twin Peaks, for those days we get a Cadillac full of people wanting to go. FWIW I would feel strange going by myself to The Peaks or Hooters. That is a flat out perv move in my book.
