Do you consider the folks who "vacation" at the panhandle beaches to be trashy?

Seems trashy to me.
LA, Alabama, & Mississippi folks drive to the closest, most overpopulated beach they can find. Rent someone else's condo. Drink & eat shitty food for a week....get fat. Same recycled snooze fest every single time....zzzzzzzz. Ohhh, but you might play putt-putt or even go parasailing!!! Exciting!! Do yall even fish up there? What do yall catch, striped bass?

There are some pretty upscale beach communities in the area between PCB and Destin.

Well when I drive through sections of FL on the way to the beach I feel like I'm in Walmart the whole time. My family has a condo in Destin and we are far from trashy. If FL would get rid of all the air brushed t shirt shops, fake tattoo places, bars like club la vela then it wouldn't be trash anymore.

Killed reds and flounder everytime I've gone.
Perdido Key, Fort Walton and 30A are all great vacation spots for families. Exclude PCB, I don't find it to be trashy at all.

It's the closest beach for most of the South. Not everyone with a family of five can afford plane tickets to the Caribbean...

I wouldn't consider it trashy, it just wouldn't be my choice if I only had one vacation.
I go with family once every two years or so, but I don't really look at it as my vacation. I typically only go for a few days and I'm over it.
