Ever since I was a child, I can remember the elders telling me to check my shoes for scorpions, spiders, lizards, wasps, frogs....
ECT ECT....

Seems like nothing was off limits.
Have you ever found any type of unwanted guest in your work boots / yard shoes?

We have a spider problem it is scary.....
There's so many in my boots, it takes a minute to clear them out.

Frogs are er'where
No seriously frogs everywhere!
Dude, like they are bad....

Everytime I get ready to do yard work I have to clean my boots and shoes out.
Who's with me?

I do not have a mosquito problem even though I live deep in the swampy Woods. I think the spiders take care of the mosquitoes, and the frogs take care of the spiders?

I check my boots, bed and deer stand for scorpions. I have found tons in my deer stand but non in my bed or boots. I always shake out my boots for spiders in LA.

I used to take a black light out in Arizona and catch scorpions.

This baw has my back though.

The OB is where you put this, but I'll help you.

Put your boots (that you most likely keep in the garage or storage shed) in the deep freezer for a day to kill the brown recluses that will frick you up.

I have a nice camp house in South Texas and I keep my boots inside but I still shake them out for scorpions.

In Kirk Douglas' autobio he tells of making a western in Mexico and being told to always check his cowboy boots for scorpions

I never did until one hunting trip down near Concan one of the guys in our house found a scorpion in his bathtub. After that I started shaking the boots upside down.

I check shoes boots whatever I'm putting on my feet regardless if they've been inside outside or somewhere in between.
I do not want to be that guy.
I've also been accused of being hyper-aware.

Bring them inside....
I never understood why people leave shoes/boots outside.

Won't leave shoes outside. I killed 21 brown widows in one night last week on my back porch. I'm not sticking my foot in shoes left outside.

The big ones aren't the ones you need to worry about. The small ones are very venemous.

no, but a few years back got home the kids wanted to swim. we have a small bathroom in back for changing into swimsuits and what not. Went in got my swim trunks , go undressed, put trunks on , yep scorpion sting right to the thigh.

Now, I'm paranoid as shite about that.
