Do you believe in Karma/do the right thing?

This morning I pulled into a hotel to make a phone call. The person didn't answer, but when I was reversing out I backed into a small outside light fixture (stupid mistake I was even looking in my camera). My buddy that was with me told me to just drive off. Instead I walked inside the hotel and told them about the accident. They just took my cell phone number in case the manager had any issues.
Anyways this afternoon I got a call back from that person I was calling and found out great news!
Karma or not would you have the decency to do the right thing and own up to the mistake/accident?

Me too.
But I have Buddhist tendencies.

I don't believe in Karma in the strictest sense, but I do believe that people who do bad things are more likely to do something that puts them in bad situation themselves.

I do believe in karma. If you do right by people you have a better percent chance of having things work out in your favor than someone who just drives off.(over time of course)

If karma was real then Donald Trump wouldn't be a billionaire and most U.S. congressmen and senators would develop dick cancer

I believe in doing the right thing. Don't know about karma and all that.

Oh, and watch where you're going with your eyes, not your camera.

Can't take a picture with your eyes, idiot.

It only it works is if you do the right thing not expecting anything in return, and being okay with that. Then you get rewarded. It's very zen.

No. Good things routinely happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. People are regularly rewarded for dishonest behavior, and it never catches up to them. Shoot I have been punished for being polite or going out of my way to help people throughout my whole life.
I just try to typically do what I think the right thing is because the deed is the reward itself. I want to make the universe a more positive place, so I try to put as much of that out there as I can. It's a losing battle, but I still have to try. Otherwise, what would be the point.
Also, it's worth noting that the idea that you are talking about is a western interpretation called "instant karma." The original concept of karma is very different.

I do not believe in karma. But I do believe hotels use security cameras.

Like Christians who are Christian just in case Hell and Heaven are real, should still end up in Hell if they are real, right?
Because I love the argument "BECOME A CHRISTIAN OR GO TO HELL!"

I do too and with the way this year has started I hope to have a lot of good fortune coming.

If you're an a-hole, you'll come back as a rock in the next life, never die, and never have a chance to do better in the world, thus forever being stuck as a rock.
