Do the cops sitting on I-12 E at the split actually do anything?

Almost every night for the past month or two, driving down I-12 eastbound, just past the split you'll find anywhere from one to five BRPD cars backed into a spot against the center wall. Not once have I ever seen them do anything except chatting with the windows down. Have you ever witnessed them stop a wreckless driver or is this just another example of lazy city employees earning a taxpayer paycheck?

More than you know, and no you have never seen 5 sitting there.

Damn two city employees already in this thread. No wonder you all don't get jack shite done. Being up this late requires a good nap during the day.

So it wasn't 5, and I'm sure in your 4 seconds of observation passing through you were able to dissect what was going on.

If you only knew the police work that goes down at the 10/12 split, you would be fricking thankful that there was a constant police presence there.

Enlighten me.

Just like how a drug infested neighborhood sticks out,
A mainline interchange/junction is measured by law enforcement in the same way, and the 10/12 ranks much higher than others in the Gulf south region.

Why don't they ever do anything there then?

I got pulled over by one of them once for tailgating at like 1 am once. Didn't get a ticket or anything though.

Complain about cops if they stop me, complain about cops if they don't stop me. Got it.

The fact that you are insinuating that something bad would come of this is why people have a slanted view of police officers.
You could just say they are busting drug dealers and be done with it. How many tickets has your "thin blue line" windshield sticker gotten you out of?

I am usually getting a manicure. Not sure what the others are doing.

After the other dude sent the veiled threat, you gave a bullshite, non-answer.
I am amused that you flowered up the old "We are fighting the war on drugs" mantra. Is a real answer available or are you sticking with that?

Could it be the one parked parallel is running radar and the other 4 were doing the pulling over? maybe that's why they were set up like that? I do t know, just asking.

Now I'm a huge supporter of officers and I greatly appreciate what y'all do but please please please tell me y'all aren't going after people with weed? That's completely stupid and a waste of y'all are.
I don't even smoke weed and I still think it's a waste of time to try and arrest people for it
