The new sonata looks nice. Can't speak towards quality/reliability though

Bought my 17 year old daughter one that was pre-owned.

No complaints yet.

I have a sonata and it treats me really well. Great gas mileage, no maintenance issues, solid warranty.

We have a '13 Santa Fe Limited (the longer wheelbase model).

It's been a fantastic vehicle so far and I've had no issues at 15k miles.

This is my first Hyundai. If my experience stays as positive as it already has been, I'm pretty sure I'll have the new Genesis sedan on my short list to replace our other vehicle in a couple of years.

Don't let those Accents and Elantras fool you. At their higher end, Hyundai (and Kia) absolutely does not suck.

My girlfriend wants a Sante Fe sport. She drives a Nissan Maxima currently

My wife has a Santa Fe (7 passenger not the sport)

Things I dont like about.

I like to drive with my left arm on the window, the door is too thin to do this.

Gas Mileage could be better, we get right at 19 MPG real world.

Brake and gas pedals are mounted from the bottom. Takes some getting use to.

We have a loaded out model and the only thing it didnt have was a power lift tailgate I wish we had that.

Things I do like.

powerful
good steering
trimmed out really nice
Good ride
Good breaks
Really good Nav and sterio system
back seat recline and are heated
Greg LeBlanc Hyundai has EXCELLENT service and their service work is cheaper than the 10 minute oil changes and Wal Mart

You would be dumb bastard if you think Hyundais suck. I have had my Sonata about 4 years and I absolutely love it. No complaints or problems with it whatsoever.

I have driven a lot of rent cars this year, and the hundai is routinely the best pick in the lineup IMO, next to Ford. It will be a long time before I go back to owning a sedan, but Hundai will definitely get a look when I do.

Apparently you don't know anything about cars, hyundai has won quite a few awards and are generally considered great cars "

My wife has had exactly that for the past year and a half. It's been a very good car. We did have to bring it back to the dealer for some rattling in the front end but it hasn't cost us anything due to the big warranty the vehicle comes with.

Hyundai makes a Genesis that is on par with any european luxury i.e. BMW, AUDI, and Mercedes. and quite a bit cheaper.

My BIL who was an automotive engineer for Toyota has two in his family now and owned another two previously. They are well built vehicles. Having a 10 yr/100k warranty kinda shows their confidence in the product.
