That's what we used growing up. Nice grill. I think they are $300 to $400 now. Pretty pricey

My dad had one for what seemed like forever. That aluminium shell held up great, no corrosion.

But they sure have gotten pricey.

Thanks for the tip. I'll try to remember that the next time I start a thread with a question.

My old neighbor was a professional chef. He had one that was handed down from his dad. Man, that grill cooked some fantastic food, and they apparently last a long time. He's probably still got it.

My brother swears by his. I have used it a couple of times. Works pretty good

It seems that most of the people who swear by them inevitably bring up some anecdote about their dad or paw paw using one, so it makes me wonder if nostalgia is affecting their opinion.

Yeah that's what affected my opinion, nostalgia. Buy a Weber and replace it every 3 years a-hole.

Love mine, wouldn't trade it for any other grill. Aluminum = no rust. Plus the aluminum walls are thicker than your Webber, holds heat much better. It ain't an egg but it does nicely.

The nostalgia comment wasn't directed at you or anyone else who posted here. The first person who ever told me about those grills brought up his dad using it, as did several others in later conversations.

The eggs do have a cult following.

Excellent product, American made. Retains heat very well. Great vent system. Lasts forever, even in Louisiana! I've got one, purchased one for my Dad and one for the camp at Big Lake. Only complaints...on occasion, I wish it was a little larger and the cart needs to be a couple inches taller!

Yes. Highly recommend. Dad had one for 30 years. Mine is going on 15 years old now. Looks good as new. Cooks great.
