At the rate things are going I'm pretty sure when I'm done with grad school I'll be one of the only people in my field that's a white male besides the old generation. I'm taking that as an advantage when it comes down to me vs xinpoo who can onry speak engrish

Entering a particular workforce is much more about the connections you have with higher ups and people already established.
May I ask what industry you're trying to break into?

Best part about regular old males is you can actually fire them without worrying about HR.

Are you white?

If you are, then you're doing white privilege wrong.

Depends. Are they in an interracial relationship? Do they have child of a different race?

Why do white people care if another white person is racist?

All Im saying is that I dont think its too much to ask to have the company hire and promote based on a persons skillset...nothing more, nothing less...

should be that the best person for the job, gets the job...hands down, no questions asked...

not sure this is always the case these days in my line of work...

on the plus side, there is this one chick named diversity...the sight of her around the office gives me something to look forward to each day...

Organic diversity (as in not forced) is a good thing. It brings in many differnt perspectives, skill sets, and sorts of ideas that help companies avoid stagnation. Forced diversity creates resentment, entitlement, animosity, and distrust as minorities feel as if they were hired for superficial reasons and not on merit and other coworkers judge them on the same basis. This leads to infighting, groupthink, resentment, and a lack of productivity.
