They need to train her better, if her first thought was to get on Facebook and update her status and not lock the doors and call the police.

Yep, and this isn't frivolous. It's still their store and responsibility and liability. First off, a young girl working by herself at a cell phone store is a big problem for me. Secondly, the life you mentioned and shite happening happens much more often in the dirty than anywhere else save large metro areas. The best long term answer is distance, lots of it.
