okay, so if the seven year old jumps in it's kosher.. Cool.

Because without the stroller I would be giving shoulder rides all day.

We are leaving Friday with a 6 month and 3 year old. It's usually a ton of Louisiana people at Disney during Mardi Gras.

Yeah. we are escaping Mardi Gras, did the same thing last year with Gatlinburg.

Good time to go, kids are out of school.

Disney With Toddlers
can I piggyback this thread??

I am going to Disney in six days. We are bringing two girls aged 5 and 7. The five year old had open heart surgery as an infant and tires easily. (she is fine now and the cardiologist said it wasn't related to the heart but still..) Would it seem odd or questionable to have a five year old in a stroller at Disney?

If the five year old needs a stroller to prevent her from becoming overtaxed I would say do it no matter I if it seems odd or questionable.. Not sure but wonder if Disney has child size wheelchairs? Don't worry about how others may perceive a 5 year old in a stroller or wheelchair. What's important is the well being of the 5 year old. An ex-pediatric nurse here.

I bought a sit and stand. She is really healthy, just seems to get tired easily.
Wheelchair is out of the question.

The sit and stand stroller sounds great. Hope you and your family have a great time. Don't miss the Bippity Boppity Boutique with the 5 year old.

ETA misspelled: Bippidi Bobbiti Boutique!

I actually was planning on skipping that. $70 a kid to get their hair done sounds expensive. I got them Frozen Princess dresses. Their mom will do their hair. We already booked a lunch with Cinderella at her castle and dinner with Belle at 'Be our Guest' on the Magic Kingdom day, so they will get most of their princess fix that day.

It was mid 80's today. I saw those kids today that had been to the boutique and thought, that looks hot as hell...

Other than a character breakfast, I doubt we eat any meals in the park.

L...o...l

Check back in when you get back and let us know how many times you ended up eating.

Eta: we had two strollers one for each kid (3&7) one was mostly to very extra stuff like snacks and water and such then when the oldest got tired of walking she rode.

Can you bring big strollers in the park or is it better to rent one?

We've taken our almost 2-year old daughter twice since October. This most recent trip we flew, so we rented a stroller from Kingdom Strollers and couldn't have been happier. They dropped it off to our resort before we even got there and we left it for them to pick up on our departure day. The stroller was good quality and folded very easily. It was a good choice for us because I didn't have to lug a stroller around any of the airports, but we still had the luxury of using it inside and outside of the parks. LINK

With regards to which parks, MK and AK in WDW are the obvious ones. Island of Adventure has the Seuss Landing area that the kids should love.

Don't overlook Hollywood Studios. At that age, they would probably really enjoy the Disney Jr Live stage show and possibly the Little Mermaid show just across the courtyard. There's also MuppetVision 3D and the Honey, I Shrunk the Kids playground. And my daughter LOVED The Great Movie Ride.

As for Epcot, there's more there for kids than you think. It's definitely changed a bit since you were a kid. Here's a list of attractions we took our little one on that she liked:
-The Seas with Nemo and Friends (omnimover ride)
-Turtle Talk with Crush (show)
-Living with the Land (boat ride)
-Spaceship Earth (omnimover ride)
-Journey into the Imagination with Figment (ride)
-Gran Fiesta Tour (boat ride in Mexico pavilion)
-The Maelstrom (boat ride in Norway pavilion)

Also, she loved riding the boats from Epcot to Hollywood Studios as well as the monorail.
