Well the kids clubs don't really allow parents to chill in there I don't think and the kids looooooove it.

Disney cruise will let you bring on as much of your own boos as you choose.

We walked all over the ship with the drinks we brought on board, never had an issue....I think they turn a blind eye to it.

I want my kids to be happy as well. I'm just saying sending them to the clubhouse while I get my tan on just isn't for me. I love a night out with my husband and the occasional weekend away with the kids at my parents house but when I go on vaca I want to have fun with them. I couldn't imagine asking them at the end of the day "so hunny, did you have fun today? What did you do?"

Do they take pictures of the kids having fun so the parents can put it on facebook at least?

You can go wherever with it. Just pour it in a cup. The only issue we had was dinner. We brought a wine bottle for 3 nights before they caught on.

You could still bring it in a cup. Bringing the bottle was pushing it.

Probably. They sell pictures hard core. You can spend $$$$ on pictures.

I think you can snap shots when you pick them up.

There's still lots of other things to do as a family but it is really obvious that the kids love the freedom.

The first 6 hours are brutal. Trying to get situated is nuts. Once you figure out how the cruise is configured and the time schedules, it become a fantastic experience. Our kids loved it. We stoped at Atlantis and Disneys private island.

Yeah the hardcore moms go nuts to sign up for the limited events and whatnot. As an adult, I thoroughly recommend the chocolate and beverage tasting.

No one is forcing you to do it those events. If you're more laid back, don't. There's still plenty fun to be had.

better than disney world imo. Especially if you have kids who are more into the characters than the ride.

Get the character schedule and autograph books. They tell you specific times when each character will be in a certain spot so your kids can get pics with them. They have a really good camp where they take the kids on "adventures". And they have an adult only section for when the parents need a break.

the disney island is pretty cool as well.

This. We dropped our kids off for hours at a time and enjoyed what the boat had to offer. Make sure you go to Castaway Cay. Food was great on the boat as well, better than I remember on the Carnival Cruise I did.

I will never cruise carnival ever again after cruising on the disney dream. The only con was it was expensive.

Go in an off period. Really helps the price. We went in November and thought it was a decent deal for all that you get.

We loved it. Best family vacation we ever took. Kid clubs was great for both daughters. As mentioned, the entertainment and productions were great for the whole family. Characters, characters, characters...spa and exercise facility like big time resorts. I working hard to take that family back for another Disney Cruise.
