And the businesses working the system in their advantage.
Yeah yeah,I know this is a yearly thread but it has gotten so bad now.Last 2 places i went to in the last 2 weeks when crawfish are sky high and i can barely afford 3 lbs. for a treat for myself at least 75% of the people ahead of me pull out their Louisiana Purchase cards buying up 10+ lbs of cooked crawfish.
This shite has to stop.Boiled crawfish is a prepared meal and i think i know how these businesses are skirting the system. It's disgusting.

Call DCFS and complain and report the business instead of whining on the Internet.

Lol you're poor.
Maybe you should be on ebt if you can't afford $15 worth of food

Something to do w/ "hot" because they put the crawfish in an ice chest before selling it to EBT losers.
Same thing I see at a local gas station here. They have a deli counter where you can't buy food w/ EBT. But they have the exact same foods in a refrigerated display case with a sign that says "Foods from this case can be purchased with EBT"
It's all a scam.

I can guarantee if you call the fraud reporting hotline, they will look into it.

Was the crawfish cold?
It comes from an ice chest... with no ice in it... but the word "ice" is in ice chest which implies cold. Close enough.

Was the crawfish cold?
BTW,WTF does the food getting cold have to do with a "prepared meal"?

This reminds me of the time my friend took off work a little early one day to pick up crawfish.
He is informed they were all out.
He lost his fricking mind.
Apparently he wasn't too happy with a bunch of bums buying up all the crawfish before a working guy like himself could enjoy the fruits of his own labor. The rant was quite humorous.

That explains the demographics the last time I went to the Crawfish Hole. I had no idea they could purchase boiled crawfish with EBT.

At least your anger is directed to the right place. So many of these types of threads blame the EBT users (and sure, they deserve some blame, but they're only acting rationally). The system is not going to change, because the businesses (the people with the actual power) enjoy sucking on the teet too much.

Racist, and I don't think you can buy prepared/cooked food with Louisiana Purchase cards, unless the business you were visiting is skirting the law, which makes you guilty of frequenting a shady place.

Where I understand your frustration, I'd still take all of my assets over being able to charge crawfish to Uncle Sam any day. Uncle Sam is gonna take it, they are gonna spend it. Ain't much you can do about it. If you don't need govt. assistance just take the high road and remember that you're better than those that do.

And look,i don't like to splurge on myself at all.I pretty much give everything i have to my kids which is why it's hard for me to purchase expensive seafood for myself.
I am not a rich man but do make a decent living.

Yeah we have a store here in town where you buy an uncooked chicken and then hand it to the cook and they fry up for ya. It's bs but it follows the law.

Ya I'm not a welfare basher much any more. Even though they may lack pride, they are only acting rationally.
