True.

All churches in all religions are made up of humans. Humans will always disappoint....but you'll still see people standing by their favorite president/pastor/coach/celebrity/etc.

The OP was not about this. And it has been quite some time since we've had a HPC thread so your take on the term "Constantly" has no real merit here.

I was genuinely wondering if the way the world is today is the reason his ministry has not taken the hit Swaggarts did back in the day.

This is the problem with non denominational churches. They are essentially owned by the pastors. They are family businesses . Any wise believer of jesus should not be giving them one red penny much less attending

Not every non denominational church is like that. One I go to is def not like that. Non denominational doesn't always instantly equal Joel Osteen wannabe mega church.

this is utter nonsense. what is he, Superman exposed to some kryptonite tail? And he needs to just get replenished by some magical Jesus Juice so he doesn't make boo-boo no more? And is that an apology? My grandmother would've switched my arse if I tried to pass that off as an apology. horseshite. This man's "theology" --as encapsulated in those two statements--is so fundamentally flawed that no one should ever take him seriously, much less give him authority over other people. Grown flippin adults.

then he changed the plan when he was up there. very weird. dude did NOT want to admit any sort of guilt. he whitewashed his wrong doing. it was pretty ridiculous.

it's a travesty, and i have no problem saying that anyone who stays involved in a church led in any way by that man needs to do some serious soul searching about what it means to be a Christian and a member of a church.

People who take people's money and claim spiritual and even earthly authority over them should be judged by a standard befitting those responsibilities, and they should be defrocked when they utterly fail as a leader, which he has.

This isn't about grace or forgiveness or pointing fingers or casting stones--it's about church leadership and authority.

And if the church is tainted by Dino (which it appears to be), then the whole church should dissolve and be disregarded--yes, despite any "good" they claim to do in the name of Jesus. Start over and do it with right leadership.

that's just the thing though. it's all one big network and all of the pastors are connected.

dino helped a lot of people financially over the years with people's money and the safety net came out when he got busted.

I could totally see RB saying that. lol.

And I'm not being blasphemous btw--it's just that's the imagery I get from Dino's description of his "fall."

From what i understand, all ties are cut with the main non profit. not 100% sure on the smaller non-profits the church also had.

Also, after the Dino departure, the church organizational hierarchy was drastically changed. with three tiers of oversight, with no one having the power that Dino had. And people not on staff with the church participating in on of the oversight tiers

An based on recent numbers the church is growing, and close to the pre-Dino Scandal hit in membership it took.

I don't even live in BR and had no idea this place existed until the OT started posting about it. I just find it sad and pathetic to keep going on about something that has ZERO affect on your life and to constantly try to bring someone down over mistakes he made. Everyone fricks up in life. No one is infallible. People need to worry about themselves first and quit pointing fingers. That isn't limited to just this thread FWIW.

I miss Dino. Easily my favorite pastor of all time. HPC isn't the same without him up there.

from Sec. States office:

LINK

Dino is no longer on the officer's board when you search for Healing Place Church

And doing a search for Dino Rizzo, he is listed on a number of nonprofits, but most are inactive or smaller programs
