I took a summer semester at BRCC and it was like going back to High School, compared to LSU. I was pissed I didn't start at BRCC since LSU took there credits as their own.

I also have a B.S. in Physics, from UT-Austin. Grad school at LSU was ridiculously easier.

Are you sure?

All I am saying is that I recognize that SU does not have the same rigor as La Tech. Nothing more or less.

Please forgive me, but it seems that you are saying much more than that. I sense regret, agitation. It reminds me of this poem:

quote:

When the Present has latched its postern behind my tremulous stay,
And the May month flaps its glad green leaves
like wings,
Delicate-filmed as new-spun silk, will the
neighbours say,
"He was a man who used to notice such things"?
If it be in the dusk when, like an eyelid's
soundless blink,
The dewfall-hawk comes crossing the shades
to alight
Upon the wind-warped upland thorn, a gazer
may think,
"To him this must have been a familiar sight."
If I pass during some nocturnal blackness, mothy and warm,
When the hedgehog travels furtively over the lawn,
One may say, "He strove that such innocent creatures should come to no harm,
But he could do little for them; and now he is gone."
If, when hearing that I have been stilled at last, they stand at the door,
Watching the full-starred heavens that
winter sees,
Will this thought rise on those who will meet my face no more,
"He was one who had an eye for such mysteries"?
And will any say when my bell of quittance is heard in the gloom,
And a crossing breeze cuts a pause in its outrollings,
Till they rise again, as they were a new
bell's boom,
"He hears it not now, but used to notice
such things"?

I guess your thread about not posting anymore didn't get enough downvotes?

I regret my sarcastic upvote.

Finally you're starting to see what I said. Southern is not a good school. If it wasn't an HBCU it would be one of the first to be cut in the state, and no one would go there. Just looking at it from a neutral perspective

To be honest, you have detected my remorse over my education decisions.

I wish I had came to SU instead of going to Tech (though to be fair, Tech was a tier 2 college when I started and became tier 1 about 2 years later)

I feel that SU is the best fit for ME. And I could have saved myself alot of pain and time by coming here.

I know that's life, but still ...

Undergrad difficulty varies greatly from university to university, so I'd imagine the grad schools and beyond do too.

Grad school, for the most part, is easier than undergrad.

That may be true in a coursework sense, but not really in Project creation or Research side.

Also, I agree that difficulty varies GREATLY between schools. This is why I don't like the fact this is never considered in hiring decisions. I should be able to at least get an analyst or standard technical position with my BS.

It is definitely considered in the hiring process

I can't tell if your being sarcastic.

I'd go back and try to get a high school equivalency in English first.

Why do you start this thread once a week? You're either the most socially awkward person ever or the best subtle troll on this board.

Or maybe just another variation on the definition of stupid, asking the same question over and over expecting a different answer.
