What are the different sub cultures within southern culture
Let's classify the south as East Texas to Richmond Virginia
These are the ones I can name
Cajun
Prairie
Bayou
Rural creole - st Landry parish, cane river area
Urban Creole/port city- Nola / Ms gulf coast/ Mobile
Low Country- similar to urban creole- Charleston/Savannah
Delta - Natchez/ NE LA/ East Ark/bootheel of Missouri/ MS Delta
Appalachian
Ozark
Red dirt/hills/piney woods - biggest subculture/ what most people call southern

Interested to hear what others can come up with especially different ones in Alabama/Georgia/Kentucky

If you don't think there is stratification and major differences between blacks then you are blind.

I'd argue that country blacks are closer to country whites in culture than they are to urban blacks (and some poor urban whites closer to urban blacks).

Maybe not as much since the internet has spread culture, but definitely in the recent past.
